Initially skeptical about the need for story-based DLC for Final Fantasy XVI , our opinion changed after playing Echoes of the Fallen . This first expansion promised by Square Enix proves to be a welcome addition, reminding players just how vibrant and fun the PS5 game's combat can be . Lasting just three to four hours, Echoes of the Fallen is not an expansion that will be remembered for generations. Basically, it's a linear journey through a new dungeon, but it fits well into the game's main story. Taking place shortly before the conclusion of Clive's story, the expansion sheds light on the lost civilization of the Fallen. Sagespire Tower Adventure Clive and his Italy Mobile Number List companions set out to discover the origin of strange crystals that appeared in the hands of the population, leading them to the Fallen tower, known as Sagespire. As expected, the heroes are challenged to reach the top of this architectural marvel, facing a variety of monsters along the way. Exciting combat and memorable bosses The expansion is a little light on story, but it makes up for it with impressive boss battles. Combat remains as enjoyable as ever, and even though the combat system remains faithful to the base game, intriguing new accessories and an awesome new sword are introduced. Conclusion Overall, Echoes of Fallen feels like little more than another chapter in the story of Final Fantasy XVI , but it's a good chapter, especially in terms of action. And it might even feature the most insane boss encounter in the entire game. Strengths: Incredible boss battles. Sagespire is a stunning dungeon.
